What does Niagara actually grade?

Any trading card you can photograph — Pokémon, sports cards (baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer), Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and more. If it has a front and a back, we'll grade it.

How fast is grading?

Most grades come back in under 30 seconds. There's no shipping and no human queue — the AI vision model analyzes your photos directly.

How are grades determined?

We score four pillars on a 1.0–10.0 scale: centering, corners, edges, and surface. These roll into a final decimal grade with a named label (Gem Mint, Mint, Near Mint, etc.).

Is the grade legally binding or insurance-grade?

No. AI grades are estimates from a vision model. They're a transparent, useful starting point — but they are not a substitute for a professional appraisal or insurance valuation.

Can anyone verify my certificate?

Yes. Every Niagara certificate carries a unique scan ID (NCG-XXXXXXXX). Anyone can enter that ID on /lookup and see the original images, grade breakdown, and value estimate. No account required.

Can I delete a scan?

Yes. Open the scan from your profile and click delete. The certificate and images are removed immediately.

How does the guest account work?

Click 'Continue as guest' on the sign-in page to explore Niagara without creating a permanent account. Guests can submit cards and view their scans during that session.

Do you support human grading?

Human grader review is on the roadmap for the Vault tier. Today, every grade is generated by AI vision.

What does the value estimate mean?

Each grade ships with a USD low–high market estimate keyed to the assigned condition. Use it as a market read, not a price tag.
